Writing fiction is a fine hobby, but it's never going to replace my day job (writing software). Have you ever been using your computer and said, "Wouldn't it be cool if you could do this"? When that happens to me, I sit down and write something to do it. So, for the most part, you'll find that the things I'm offering here are programs that fulfill some need that I had. They're not necessarily intended for mass audiences. But they're free to anyone who has a use for them. If you feel a strong need to compensate me for these programs, the best thing you can do is read one of my short stories or, better yet, the Daily Dose.
| Joymouse360 |
A program that lets you control your PC's mouse with an XBox 360 controller. |
| Nightly |
A program that shuts off your Windows Mobile Smartphone every night. |
| ToggleBth |
A simple program that turns Bluetooth on and off on Windows Mobile Smartphones and PocketPCs. |
| Cinco SP |
A text game for Windows Mobile Smartphones and PocketPCs. |
| RPN Calculator |
A full-featured RPN calculator for Windows XP and versions of Pocket PC and Smartphone that support .net.
There is also a link to the previous version which supports older opperating systems. |
| Interval Timer |
A simple interval timer I wrote for my my martial arts instructor
to use in class. This application requires the .net runtime. |
| KanjiFlash |
This is another program I wrote to help me study Japanese (this is the
replacement for kanatran). This has none of kanatran's limitations, but it has
new limitations of its own. In general, it's better than kanatran in all ways. |
| Kanatran |
This is a program I wrote to help me study Japanese. It started as a simple IME
and has grown into a flashcard/dictionary program that does hiragana, katakana,
and kanji on your own list of words. Beware, it has some serious limitations, though. Go to the kanatran page to learn more about it. |
| JoyMouse |
A quick little DirectInput app to let you control your mouse with a joystick.
I'm not sure how usefull this would be with standard joysticks, but it works
really well with the Sidewinder Freestyle Joystick from Microsoft. Works on
Win2000 as well as Win98 and Win95. I believe it works on XP, but haven't
actually tried it. |
